At Make it Cognitive, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Our return policy complies with Australian consumer law, providing you with clear options in case you need to make a return or warranty claim.
Change of Mind Returns
- Eligibility: Returns for change of mind are accepted within 30 days of the purchase date.
- Condition: Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resellable condition. Installed or customized items are not eligible for return.
- Process: Contact our customer service team to initiate the return at info@makeitcognitive.com. Please include your order number and reason for return.
- Shipping Costs: You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
- Refunds and Fees: Upon receiving and inspecting the returned item, we will process a refund to your original payment method. If you prefer a refund rather than store credit, please note a 15% restocking fee will apply.
Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
- Eligibility: If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund.
- Notification: Please contact our customer service team within 14 days of receiving the item to report the issue. Supporting evidence, such as photos, may be required.
- Process: We will provide instructions for returning the item and cover return shipping costs for faulty or damaged items.
- Resolution: After inspecting the item, we will offer a replacement, repair, or full refund based on the nature of the fault and your preference.
Warranties
- Warranty Claims: For warranty claims, ensure you have proof of purchase and that the item is within the manufacturer’s stated warranty period. Warranty claims are generally limited to replacement unless otherwise specified.
- Installation Requirements: If the product requires installation, a licensed electrician must perform the installation per Australian laws and regulations for the warranty to remain valid.
- Liability for Warranty Services: Make it Cognitive does not cover installation or any other associated service costs for warranty claims.
How to Return an Item
- Contact Us: Email info@makeitcognitive.com.au to initiate a return. Include your order number, reason for return, and any supporting evidence, such as photos.
- Pack the Item: Ensure the item is securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
- Ship the Item: Send the item to the return address provided by our customer service team.

- Proof of Purchase: Please retain your proof of purchase as it will be required for all returns and warranty claims.
- Non-Returnable Items: Certain items, such as opened software, custom-made products, or downloadable products, are not eligible for return unless faulty.
